Lunch With A Legend
Today some of the top Coldwell Banker agents had lunch with a local legend. Chief district court judge John Carroll spoke to us about his service in Iraq. Not only is he a judge, he is a reservist. He was involved with establishing democracy in Iraq. They lived in what they called the green zone (protected by our troops), but the courts were in the red zone. This involved suiting up in full gear to go to work. They would work Sunday through Thursday and be off Saturday and Monday. Their work day started at 7:30 and ended at 11 in the evening. While he was there, he was involved with putting away 8 very crucial people and the creation of a program to keep juveniles off the streets. For this he received the bronze star.
We were very fortunate to have heard his story today and salute him for his efforts.
