North Carolina Holiday Flotilla At Wrightsville Beach

It's that time of year again! We've all filled up on turkey, the pumpkin spice has turned into gingerbread spice and the elves on shelves have resurfaced for the season! What truly sets the tone for the holidays though, is the return of the Holiday Flotilla at Wrightsville Beach!
Described as "the Southern-Coastal version of a holiday parade - on water - at night," the Flotilla is THE holiday tradition that kicks off the season for us here in Wilmington!
This year marks the 33rd Annual North Carolina Holiday Flotilla, where boats will display festive lights and music throughout the Intracoastal Waterway at Wrightsville Beach as locals and visitors alike watch and anxiously await the Fireworks Show that wraps up the evening!
The Flotilla will begin at 6pm this evening, following a festival in the Park from 10am to 4pm today. The festival in the park will include a play area for children with bounce houses, a coloring contest, a train and food. For the adults, the festival will host craft booths from local artisans, as well as an antique car show!
If you're ready for the Christmas season, this is the Southern way to celebrate and begin the festivities!
