Many communities in Wilmington have gained rapid popularity based on their proximity to the beach, Historic Downtown Wilmington and the local airport, but Midtown Wilmington has a lot of appeal for those reasons and more! Not only is this centrally located area a short drive to any Wilmington destination, but it's conveniently located right in the middle of most of Wilmington's best attractions!

Whether you're a college student attending UNC-Wilmington and renting an apartment, a hospital employee that needs a quick commute to work, a retiree who frequents the local golf courses, or a family that enjoys spending time at the park, Midtown Wilmington has something for everyone!

Ranging from Market Street and 17th to South College and Carolina Beach Road and extending across Oleander Drive, Wrightsville Avenue & the UNCW campus surroundings, the area loosely defined as Midtown encompasses several different communities with universal appeal!

With well established neighborhoods like Pine Valley and Lincoln Forest, along with new developments like One Midtown and Aspen Heights there is a great balance of old and new, each with it's own demographic. The midtown area isn't only expanding with residential units, but commercial as well. New shopping and dining attractions like The Pointe at Barclay, which features a 14 Screen Stone Theater Multiplex, multiple restaurants and retail shops are quickly attracting residents to the nearby areas, not to mention, even though this area is located in the center of Wilmington, it's still just a quick drive to both Wrightsville and Carolina Beaches, as well as the Cape Fear River, for those who desire a central location, but don't want to feel landlocked!

If you're a growing family and you're looking for things like Parks and Playgrounds that fit your lifestyle, you're in luck here too! With parks like Hugh MacRae and Halyburton, you can find nature trails, a splash pad, playgrounds, educational programs, wildlife, athletics and exercise, right around the corner! Stroller friendly walking trails and handicap access to play and parking make both of these destinations the perfect place for weekend fun!

If it's golf you're after or a Country Club lifestyle, multiple courses run right through Midtown Wilmington. Between the Municiple Course on Pine Grove, Pine Valley Country Club, Cape Fear Country Club and Beau Rivage being just a short drive away (and Landfall right around the corner) you have multiple choices as to where you park your cart! Living in Midtown Wilmington allows you to conveniently pack up your clubs and walk or take a quick drive right over to hit some balls or enjoy a club house meal!

With easy access to multiple restaurants and retails shops like those at  Long Leaf Mall, Hanover Center, the Independence Mall, 17th Street and basically all along College Road, Midtown Wilmington does not disappoint when it comes to shopping, dining and entertainment, all with the convenience of being near the hospital, downtown Wilmington, the beach, the airport and some of Wilmington's best attractions!
