Favorite Part of Being in Real Estate:

Rediscovering the Wilmington area every day while helping clients transition through different stages of life.

If you could spend a day in someone else’s shoes, whose
would they be? Why?

My daughter's...

I would love to see life through the eyes of my 4 year old!

What’s been on your mind lately?

Nurturing relationships in my life so that people have a true understanding of their importance to me.

What’s the first career you dreamed of having as a kid?

A police officer

What's one of your favorite memories?

Baking pies with my Grandmother on the farm as a teenager

What's one thing about people that surprises you?

Our assumption that asking for help is unacceptable. When did this start? Why do we feel "lesser" when we admit our struggles? I'm working on this myself, but I want to also encourage others to speak up when they need a little help! There is strength in realizing you could use a hand!

Who, or what, was your biggest teacher?

Failure.
I've learned so many lessons by NOT succeeding at things.

What was something you've done that made you feel extreme happiness?

Becoming a Mother

Knowing what you know now, what advice would you give your 18-year-old self?

Save Money!

It is so easy when you start earning money to spend it as a teenager, but today, at 35 I do not still own a single thing I bought then.

"Things" do not stand the test of time.

Planning ahead, having something to contribute to your family, being able to take a vacation, paying bills on time... those are things that I wish I had set aside as a teenager so that I would have more of the things that matter today!

What does success mean to you?

Several things play into this but in short, success to me is being able to make it through the day being proud of my actions as a human, as a mother, as a friend, as a professional and giving myself some grace when I fall short on any of those.

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given?

"It is always better to be the one hurting than to be the one who causes others pain."

How can someone win a gold star with you?

Honesty = Gold Star! *

If you had to choose only 3 adjectives to describe yourself, which would you choose?
 Determined
Kind
Optimistic
