Bailey Gordon

Meet Bailey Gordon:

Originally from Massachusetts, I moved to Wilmington in 1998 and quickly fell in love with this beach community! I began working with Coldwell Banker Sea Coast Advantage when I was 17, quickly learning the business and developing a passion for real estate.  I’ve worked every aspect of the business from a buyer’s specialist, representing sellers, and managing a team.  I believe that selling real estate is so much more than being a sales person but it’s an opportunity to guide people through life changes.

Why I’m Different:

I believe I bring a unique perspective to the real estate industry.  Knowing that this purchase or sale is a big decision and one that should not be rushed into, I pride myself on education and making sure you know the market the same way I do.  With the internet at our fingertips, we are all armed with information but helping you sort it out is where I come in. When listing your home, I can help you prepare for the market knowing just what a buyer is looking for when they cross through the front door.  And as a buyer, I want you to know all the market statistics and make the best decision for yourself.

When I’m not working:

I’m a beach bum!  I spend as much time out on the water, on the boat and the beach, as possible.  My husband and I met in 2009 at the beach and it’s a passion we share together.  Shopping is a weakness of mine, if it’s not sunny you can find me in Mayfaire!  Family is extremely important to me, my parents are local and I have two sisters that I would love to see more often.

Surprise, surprise I moved away from the harsh Vermont winters to the beautiful beaches of North Carolina! I was born and raised in a small Vermont town, where I learned to love the outdoors and to treat people with kindness.  I went to College in Burlington Vermont, where I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. I truly enjoyed working with kids, but as I grew up in a family owned business I found I was missing something and that I wanted to join the fast paced business world.  This was my launch into the real estate world.

Why I’m different

I learned early on in life “hard work pays off” and this is a motto I live my life by today. I truly work my hardest and give all my honesty to each and every client I work with.  I’m a very personable  and take pride in getting to know you. I love people and I enjoy learning from others, and this is why I feel as if I am a different agent. This business is based on relationships, and I love ending a transaction with clients saying “I’m not sure what I am going to do now that I don’t get to talk to you every day”…this is when I know I have done my job.

In my free time

Growing up in the cold weather I was a very active snowboarder and ice hockey player… as I moved to the south I took those extreme sports and replaced them with my beach chair and flip flops. When I am not at the beach, you can find me exploring Wilmington in some way, whether it is a good band downtown or just meeting up with friends for a good dinner.  I am also a happy owner of a yellow lab named Cooper, who stole my heart the day we picked him up from the breeder in January of 2015. I love Wilmington and everything it has to offer!

Although we are hard to come by, I was born and raised in Wilmington, North Carolina. After graduating from Laney High School and moving away to Greenville, NC to attend East Carolina University (Go Pirates) for two years, I not only missed my family, but the town in which I loved so much. After a decision to transfer to be closer to my family and return to Wilmington, I graduated from the University of North Carolina Wilmington (Go Sea Hawks) with a BS in Biology. After doing sales in the medical profession for several years, I realized that I had a true passion for helping people and it gave me great satisfaction to lead a project from start to finish. After buying, selling, and buying my own homes …I also realized I loved houses and the life that I could bring to them. Thus lead me to my Real Estate career. What better way to incorporate homes, people, and changing lives?

Why I’m different

When choosing a real estate agent, you need to find someone who will work well with you AND your personal goals. It is my promise to you to focus on the goals at task as if they were my own. I am honest, sometimes telling clients things they may not want to hear, but will educate you through every step of the process. My objective is to gain your trust and help you make sound monetary investments, which when buying or selling a home, can be stressful. My knowledge of Wilmington and surrounding areas not only helps with the home contracting process, but when in need of healthcare professionals and so much more.

In my free time

Oh man, in my free time, I love to dance! After dancing competitively for 11 years in tap, jazz, and ballet I have now found a new love born in the South East. Shag. It’s a dance for all ages and is less harsh on the joints and fun nonetheless. As an avid boater and lover of all things ocean, I find it imperative to keep our beaches clean. While enjoying the sea breeze with my husband, Stephen, you can find me listening to live bands and appreciating local dives. Thank you for taking the time to get to know me a little better. I’d love to help you in your search for the perfect home, while sharing some laughs along the way. -Amy
